Manager, Intergovernmental Affairs & Inuit Relations
INAC-Nunavut Regional Office
Iqaluit, Nunavut
(867) 975-4538
Paul Fraser was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. He
pursued undergraduate studies at Memorial University
in St. John’s, Newfoundland, completing a Bachelor
of Social Work. He completed a Master of Public Administration
degree in 1992 at the University of Western Ontario.
Having worked throughout Canada in various capacities
for municipal and provincial governments as well as
a number of NGO’s, Paul returned to Iqaluit in
October 1998 and the employ of the local municipality.
Previously employed by the Town of Iqaluit from March
1986 to November 1990 – Paul, along with his family,
greeted this latter move with an open heart. Unequivocally,
Iqaluit epitomizes everything that embodies the meaning
of ‘home’ for Paul and it will hopefully
be the place where he finally greets retirement. A benefactor
of the excitement, vibrancy and volatility that has
encompassed the creation of Nunavut, Paul has enjoyed
an assortment of job postings in the last 5 and ½
years. As of September 30, 2002 he has been engaged
as the Manager of Intergovernmental Affairs & Inuit
Relations with the Nunavut Regional Office of Indian
& Northern Affairs Canada.
