Thierry Rodon holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Université Laval in Québec. He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University and a Board Member of CIERA (Centre Interuniversitaire d’Études et de Recherche Autochtone) at Université Laval. His research interests are in aboriginal governance, participatory democracy, land claims negotiations and co-management.
At the present time, he is part of a team developing a B.A. program in focusing on Public Administration in Nunavut. He has taught the first course in this program in Iqaluit and a second course at Nunavut Sivuniksavut in Ottawa.
He also works with different aboriginal organizations (the Mamuitun Tribal Council, the Cree Grand Council and Uashat mak Mani-Utenam) on land claims and governance issues. Finally, he chairs the Moisie River Co-management Board.
