Plane symmetry p31m

p31m consists of reflections in the three sides of an equilateral triangle.

Escher's Study of Regular Division of the Plane with Human Figures, 1936, makes use of this symmetry. The coloring must be disregarded, or else the symmetry is p1. Escher used this study to form part of Metamorphosis I, 1937.
