Nuclearism and Non-proliferation


The Cold War initiated widespread, rapid development or proliferation of nuclear weapons. The end of the Cold War was the begining  of a worldwide non-proliferation and disarmament movement. The goal of this movement is to discourage further development of nuclear materials for destructive purposes, and to rid the world of existing weaponry either nuclear or conventional.
