Complete the following:
1. Using the subject of your Term Project during the present term, provide a complete historical context for the object of your study. In this discussion, you may comment on the following (as appropriate):
- Biographical information concerning the producer(s) (composer, author, publisher, printer, engraver, performer(s), community, artist, etc.) of the material of your study.
- Bibliographical information about the subject(s) of your study: primary sources of the material, publications of the material, etc.
- The significance and role of the subject of your study; its influence on other activity at the same time and immediately after.
- The significance and role of the subject of your study within the overall output of the producer(s) (composer, author, publisher, printer, engraver, performer(s), community, artist, etc.) of the material of your study.
- Similar activities and production occurring at the same time and/or place; the influence of these other activities and productions; the influence of earlier similar activities and productions. {For example, in discussion of Burney’s History, one should comment on the place of John Hawkins’ General History of the Science and Practice of Music.)
- Technological aspects of the material.
- Any other relevant and interesting information.
2. Provide a Bibliography of primary source material for your subject. [This does not need to be repeated if done already as part of your term work.] 3.
