Marking Scheme

Students were to choose a topic and find the most absurd scientific (doesn't have to be a true claim, only present itself as scientic, e.g. cures cancer,  assess personality through lipstick colour)claim (with link)  with regard to that topic, and a second link which presents a more rational perspective.  They were to critique each site, giving their own opionion,  which side they believe and why.  It should be clear which is their absurd claim and which is the site which refutes the claims made.

Marking breakdown:

3 points -working link to absurd claim
6 points- critique of absurd site

3 points- working link to more rational presentation of topic
6 points- critique of rational information presented on site
