The following is a guide to be used in evaluating the lab reports. Your reports should be typewritten in APA format. Attach this sheet to the back of each lab report.

- acceptable and logical literature review to justify study
- recent, relevant studies cited in sufficient detail

- rationale, purpose, hypothesis(es) clearly stated

- apparatus/materials correctly presented
- procedure described in enough detail to replicate
- research design used; variables controlled for

- descriptive data provided
- appropriate analysis of the data collected
- correct presentation of statistical analysis (APA Format)
- results described in words, relationship to hypotheses clear
- complete and accurate presentation of tables and figures

Discussion                                                                                                                     /20
- do results support hypothesis(es)?
- explanation of results and proper inferences
- relate results to literature review
- implications of findings and conclusions
- limitations of research (e.g., sample, instrumentation) and ideas for further study

Overall quality of writing (i.e. clear and concise writing style, typos,                             
misspellings, sentence structure, etc) will be considered and marked accordingly
