To inspire new forms of collaborative research born of needs articulated by Nunavut residents and legitimated by a foundation that is inclusive of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit. The priorities of INSPIRED vi@ Acadia were determined by the research agenda articulated at The Nunavut Policy Research Symposium of 2004. Acadia University is positioned as a facilitator and hub in the development of a policy research community that invites full participation from previously under-represented, or ignored, policy stakeholders. The northern research expertise and new collaborative approaches that are emerging at Acadia, together with the university’s leadership in technologically-mediated communication environments, position Acadia to facilitate an Inuit and northern-led, international, collaborative policy research initiative.
