Course Procedure:
Monday and Wednesday classes will feature lectures in which the relevant theory will be discussed and practical applications will be demonstrated. Friday classes may involve tutorials or question and answer sessions.

Homework exercises will be assigned on a regular basis and students are expected to bring results to class. There will be seven pop quizzes given throughout the term. The best five results for each student will be tabulated as part of the final grade. Students are required to attend the weekly lab session which will involve problem sessions, assignments, and ear-training/musicianship skills.
Grading:
Quizzes (5) = 25%
Labs = 30%
Mid-Term Exam – Oct. 17 = 15%
Final Exam - TBA = 30%
