Course
Project Case Study::
During the first two weeks of the course you will pair up
with another person to form a system analysis and design team.
You must work as a team in order to complete the modules of the Case
Study. Your solutions to each of the module activity assignments will
make up a large portion of your course mark so good teamwork is
important. Your team's mark will be your mark for the Case
Study. If a member of a team is having a problem with his/her
teammate's contributions then they should discuss the matter openly
with the teammate as early as possible before approaching the professor
for a resolution.
The case study is the Acadia Energy Dashboard Project. Please see the System Services Request form and a directory of related documentaion on the project.

case study grades.
Your team needs to create a Case Study website with links to all
assignments for viewing by your professor. A separate section
should be created for each module activity. When completed the
Case Study website can act as portfolio of your work to potential
future employers.

Study Notes:
- Your team's mark will be your mark for the Case
Study. If a member of a team is having a problem with his/her
teammate's contributions then they should discuss the matter openly
with the teammate as early as possible before approaching the professor
for a resolution.
- The
work on the Case Study should be shared evenly between the teammates.
System analysis and design is best done in groups because different
points of view and experience produce better
results. For each activity choose a lead person who makes the final
decisions for that activity.
- Weekly
Case Study working sessions are strongly suggested. Ensure you
understand each others responsibilities and maintain good
communications.
- The various Case Study deliverables must follow the examples provide in your text except where specifically indicated.
- Use
any form templates that are provided for module activities.
For
each Case Study Milestone deliverable:
- Please ensure that the first page of every deliverable identifies your team by number, member names and studnet numbers .
- Please
provide all solutions as a *.doc to *.pdf document, or where requested as an OpenProj or Dia file.
Be consistent and neat in the
presentation of your various deliverables. This will make marking
easier and, therefore, increase your chances of obtaining a
high mark.
- At
the beginning of each deliverable, provide a list of tasks
performed by your team in order to complete that deliverable. Use the
slides and textbook covering the appropriate phase as a guide. This
will also serve as a checklist to ensure your team has done everything
necessary.
- Attach
to the end of each deliverable any detail (appendices) you feel is necessary to keep
for use in future work or as a demonstration of your effort.
- Your deliverables must be posted to your team website before the due date/time - only one submission per team is needed.
- The best deliverable for each module will be used as a guide for future steps in the case study.
