ACME - Grade Book
The Grade Book feature in ACME is
a way for faculty to return grades to students individually and
quickly. It also allows students to submit assignments for grading
but these files can not be larger than 5 MB, but Plato is suggested
for anything over 2 MB. Plato is best for student file submission
of larger files, websites, and multiple file submitting (see Plato).
Creating an Assignment
To use the grade book feature in ACME
you have to first create an assignment. You can create assignments
that require a file uploaded, that enables you to mark the assignment
when you are ready to and fill in the marks, or ones where you just
type in a mark to be returned to the students.

Marking Assignments
Marking assignments will automatically submit marks for students to view when they open up the grade book. If you have requested a file to be submitted then you will not be able to submit a mark until the file has been uploaded.

Student View
When students open up grade book they will only see the assignments that they are able to upload files to or recieve grades for. If there are already grades submitted than they will also be available to the student. Students may only view their own grades and no one elses.
to see how a student can upload a file and view any submitted grades.
When not to use Grade Book
Although Grade Book is a nice convienant
feature of ACME it is limited to the size of files it is able to
upload. Any large files should be put somewhere else like Plato.
Furthermore, if you wish to be able to make comments on an assignment
then creating an Assignment Folder in the Notes section would be
a better choice.
