Files - Finding Files & Folders

Sometimes you may misplace a file by saving it in the wrong place or moving it accidentally without realizing.  This can be confusing when you go to open it and see that it is now nowhere to be found.  If this happens, you have the power to find the file if you remember what you named it or the date that it was last saved.  To find the file you simply click on 'SEARCH' in the 'START MENU'.

to see a viewlet on finding files or folders.

When you save your files, you should always pay very close attention to what you save them as.  It is best to save them as something simple and easy to remember, but is also related to the file contents.  If you do not remember the name of the file, you can search the file extension or date that it was last saved.
